‘How do I get involved?’
In the months to come, we are going to be announcing a couple of initiatives for communities, corporations and grassroots football organizations to partner with Football for Good. Until then, the best thing you can do is wander over to the left side of our website and (i) check our interview with 'The Score' that tells you all about Football for Good and where we're headed and (ii) join the mailing list. Starting in spring, we plan to blast out some regular updates on our progress, which will include a variety of ways for you to lend your support to Football for Good and our launch in Gulu, northern Uganda.

Launching Football for Good |

 What started as an idea to build a youth centre in war-torn northern Uganda, has grown into an initiative to develop world-class youth football (soccer) academies that are sustainable, community-centered social businesses in regions that have been ravaged by war.
And we don't plan to stop there. We also want to make certain that we are champions of human rights and child protection, and a committed global advocate for African players, families and their communities.
We've talked to community leaders, football coaches, players and international organizations. There is a need for change. Locally led change that is focused on the community first.
This initiative is a non-profit social business that is being developed by the founders of the Steve Nash Foundation and Athletes for Africa, and we're just getting started. |
